Absolutely. We follow strict safety procedures to minimize impact on adjoining properties and the surrounding environment. If there are garages, sheds, carports or buildings on neighbours boundaries our building surveyor might ask that we obtain a Protection Works Notice. This will involve having neighbours consent and is at no cost to the home owner.
Demolition works cannot begin until gas and electricity services have been fully abolished, not just disconnected. Please note that this process can take up to 20 business days from the time of booking depending on your provider.
To request electricity abolishment you will need your 11-digit NMI (National Meter Identifier). This unique number identifies your property and can be found on your electricity bill.
To abolish gas services you will need your Meter Installation Reference Number (MIRN). This unique identifier can be found on your gas bill and is also often printed on the gas meter itself.
The water supply must remain connected. It’s essential for the demolition process to help suppress dust and is a Occupational Health and Safety requirement.
Where possible, materials are sorted and recycled in accordance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
